Urban, Ag and Environmental Interests Join Together To Develop Regional Water Management Plan
On July 30, 2007, the Kings River Conservation District Board of Directors adopted the Upper Kings Basin Water Forum’s (Water Forum) Integrated Regional Water Management Plan. The Water Management Plan is a result of over two years of collaborative planning by the Water Forum, a multi-stakeholder group made up of local cities, counties, water districts and environmental organizations.  More »

Upper Kings Basin Water Forum Awarded Regional Water Planning Grant
A joint effort among several public agencies and other organizations has received a $500,000 grant from the California Department of Water Resources that gave the unique integrated regional water management-planning proposal nearly a perfect review score. Local matching funds are also to be provided by the members of the Upper Kings Basin Water Forum, a group of local water districts, cities, counties and other stakeholders working to develop regional solutions to the area’s water resources issues.  More »
