Upper Kings Basin Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP)

The IRWMP defines problems and issues; regional goals and objectives; water management strategies; and projects to enhance the beneficial uses of water for the Upper Kings Region. The IRWMP is the outcome of a 2-year collaborative planning process that included the adoption of Agreements-in-Principle by the participants, completion of a wide range of technical studies, preparation of technical memoranda, development of the Kings Basin Integrated Groundwater and Surface Water Model, extensive stakeholder involvement and numerous meetings among various work groups and participants. It was completed and adopted in July 2007.
