Mill Creek
The Mill Creek Project, located approximately one mile upstream from the confluence of Mill Creek and the Kings River, would increase storage capacity for the Kings River service area by an estimated 205,000 acre-feet with an annual yield of approximately 22,000 acre-feet.
A hydraulic tunnel would connect this reservoir to the Pine Flat Reservoir downstream and allow the additional storage to be diverted to the Pine Flat Power Plant for increased energy production.
Although no hydro facilities were included in the project, technological advancements in hydropower generation may make the incorporation of a hydroelectric power plant more feasible.
