Enhancement projects have been undertaken to improve the in-reservoir habitat for warm-water fish.

Various locations within the fluctuation zone of the Pine Flat Reservoir have been planted with annual, perennial and native vegetation.

Permanent structural anchors have also been installed in the fluctuation zone to increase the quantity of cover available for use by fish.
