KRCD is governed by a board of seven directors elected by the people. Six of the directors represent the six divisions of the district. The seventh director is elected to represent the district as a whole. Directors who represent the six divisions must be residents and registered voters within their respective divisions. The director-at-large may reside in any of the six divisions.

At present, the Board consists of the following directors:

• Division 1: Norman B. Waldner
• Division 2: Mike M. Yoshimoto
• Division 3: Gildo Nonini
• Division 4: Mark C. McKean, President
• Division 5: Vacant
• Division 6: Ceil W. Howe, Jr.
• At-Large: Dr. David Cehrs, Vice President
